October 29th - GF FSC will have a booth at the annual Halloween Celebration in Downtown Glens Falls from 2-4 pm. Join us to make your own buttons & magnets. We'll also have a Duck Pond game for the little ones and be handing out club information to prospective new members! Should be a great afternoon!! November 20th - Join us on our club float in the annual South Glens Falls Holiday Parade. We'll need lots of people to ride on the float, march with the float, pass out candy, etc. Everyone is welcome to participate! We will also need people to help assemble the float the week before the parade. If you're interested in helping out, please email us to let us know!! The theme of this year's parade is "Home for the Holidays" and the parade will pay tribute to our veterans and military personnel. December 4th - GF FSC presents an informal, brief holiday exhibition, followed by a family skating party, open to the public. We will be offering refreshments, games, and some great holiday music, along with face painting, raffles, and more! Don't miss this special afternoon - a great way to get in the holiday spirit and have fun with your family, friends and neighbors. January 7th, 2012 - GF FSC will host our 3rd annual competition, the GLENS FALLS WINTER FIGURE SKATING CLASSIC. The competition is open to all registered USFS members or Basic Skills members. We will be posting the full competition announcement and application shortly. We will need as many volunteers as possible for this event - bringing food for the judges' hospitality room, checking in skaters at the registration table, helping skaters get lined up for their events, posting scoring sheets on the results wall, handing out medals at our medal ceremonies, etc. We'll need all hands on deck!! Please save the date and email us to let us know how you would like to help.  April 1, 2012 - Join us for our annual spring ice show from 1-3 PM! This year's show will feature a Carnival/Mardi Gras theme and should be lots of fun! We are hoping all our members will participate in this fun end-of-the season show! We'll be having the show video-taped again this year! We'll also be having some great raffles available! Should be a great day!
