Greetings GFFSC Alumni!
The Glens Falls Figure Skating Club misses you!! Did
you know that this is our 28th year of being a USFSA member club?!
Unfortunately, over the years, we’ve seen a drastic drop in our membership. We
want to make sure the club continues on for many years to come so that everyone
can continue to enjoy all that skating with the club has to offer. We are in
the process of trying to boost the GFFSC’s membership and we need your help!!
There are lots of ways to help us out and we would greatly appreciate your
participation!

Join the club again! Get back into skating and enjoy all the fun,
friendship and exercise skating has to offer. Even if you don’t want to skate,
you can still join the club. Basic membership includes USFSA membership and a
subscription to Skating magazine.

Join us for our events. We have at least one exhibition each
year, and are looking to have additional events as well. We love to have a
large audience, and we can also use volunteers to help out “behind the scenes.”
It’s a great chance to see the progress our skaters are making – and they can
always use some encouragement from “veteran” skaters like you! We also plan to
participate in the annual Evergreen Holiday Parade in November and would love to
have GFFSC Alumni join us to march in the parade! Check the website for event

Refer new members to the club! Pass along our website address!
Tell them about the wonderful times you had skating with the club! Share your
love of skating with friends!

Participate in Alumni events. We are planning an Alumni Skate
around the holidays. We would love to have as many past members join
us as possible. Even if you don’t want to skate, you’re welcome to join us for
some reminiscing and refreshments.

Purchase club items. We are also currently getting prices on a
number of items featuring the club logo. Your purchase of these items will help
defray our operating expenses and help the club fund more events for our
skaters. Items will be available on our website and at club events.

Make a tax-deductible donation to our Founder’s Fund. We have
several donation levels and would love to have your help. When you donate to
the club, your name will be placed on the Founder’s Fund page of our website.
Donations can be made by mail or on our website.

Ask your employer to make a tax-deductible donation or become a
club sponsor. If they include their company logo, we’ll be happy to add that
to our Founder’s Fund page, in addition to the company name. If they have a
website, we can include a link to their site as well.
Do you have any old photos or newspaper clippings from past GFFSC
events? We would love to put them on the website and create a club scrapbook on
line. If you have any, please send them to us. We can happily return them if
you include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
As you can see, there are lots of ways you can help the
club! Be a part of something great for our area skaters and future champions!
